It was love at first sight. Emalyn Mercer, a North Carolina native, came to Key West two years ago to help her best friend of 40 years (!) start a new business venture. What was originally planned as a 6-month sabbatical from her 12-year profession as a legal recruiter turned into a permanent commitment to living and working in Key West. The natural beauty of the island and the accepting nature of its inhabitants “felt like home” from the beginning, and a career in real estate seemed like a natural opportunity to work with locals, and those who want to be. The best part about this business is discovering the special homes tucked away down peaceful walking lanes and behind sweet rustic gates, and working with their wonderfully unique owners. Being able to work with the most well respected group of professionals on the island is a privilege.

Emalyn is fortunate to have a grown son and daughter in law, both parents, and many friends and relatives still living in Raleigh, North Carolina. They all want to come here….
